LOGI's Diana Kaissy Elected to EITI Board

As Lebanon builds its oil and gas industry and prioritizes transparency as a cornerstone of good governance in the sector, it is with deep pride that we share with you a great win for Lebanon and the MENA region:

Diana Kaissy, LOGI's Executive Director, has been selected to serve on the board of the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI) as a representative of civil society organizations.

Diana's selection sets a precedent for the Middle East and North Africa region which has not been represented on the EITI board previously. LOGI will be joining 20 other EITI board members representing governments, civil society organizations, and the private sector. Their role, as part of the EITI main governing body, is to decide on the organisation's priorities and evaluate countries' performances in reaching the EITI requirements.

For the next three years, LOGI will ensure that civil society's concerns, demands, and achievements are properly reflected and amplified at the international level through her involvement on the EITI board.

Please join us in congratulating Diana on this great achievement. It is a great win for LOGI, but a definite victory for Lebanon, and the whole region.
